Who We Are

Urban Innovators is a collective of dedicated individuals, including college graduates and undergraduates from Metro Detroit who have progressed through the Detroit Public School system. We share a common understanding of the need for supplementary education to benefit all scholars. Our organization stands united, with volunteers wholeheartedly committed to supporting every event, program, and initiative we conceive. In our ranks, we integrate community leaders, educators, police officers, churches, businesses, and families, all working collaboratively to provide scholars with the top-tier guidance necessary for their success.

The foundation's growth is linked to Detroit area schools such as University Yes Academy, Glazer Academy College Prep, Henderson Academy, the Foreign Language Immersion Cultural Studies Academy, Greenfield Union, and Loving Academy. Leveraging the unique offerings of each institution, we have introduced over twenty enriching programs tailored for students in grades K-8 within just two years. These initiatives include a spectrum of programing ranging from P.E.A.CE. Mentoring and "I AM" Tutoring to Drama (Gifted and Talented), Flag Football, Chess, and more. Our thriving partnerships with esteemed corporations and community leaders have propelled our momentum. Diversified Community Services, Detroit Public School District, Say Detroit Center, Target, Costco, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, Epic Realty INC., 100 BLACK MEN INC., Black United Fund, and Black Caucus Foundation have all been pivotal contributors to the success of Urban Innovators Foundation.
